The RealTaiji.com Affiliate Platform

This program is fairly new.

Right now it serves one main product, some services, and workshops:

  • The Old Yang Course (Part 1) — the main product
  • Private Lessons
  • The Annual W.T.B.A. Workshop

The RealTaiji.com Affiliate Platform makes it easy for you to earn some money while helping me spread the word about Real Taijiquan. I appreciate many of the efforts already out there, and this is the way that I offer some compensation for your time and effort.

As such, I only want people who know my work and who appreciate it. I don’t want spammers, nor people trying to make a quick dollar. This program is only for you if  you have some class, if you refuse to send spam or act spammy, and if you have some experience with RealTaiji.com in a way that lets you be an easy, honest advocate.

Here’s the technical terms and conditions for Affiliates.

Right now, I’m not filtering Affiliates (I haven’t had to yet). But I intend to make signing up more difficult in June. I’ll only be accepting people who trained with me personally, that are associates of the W.T.B.A., or that have purchased my products and work through them successfully.

Easy Tips for Affiliates

Here’s some quick things to do to spread the word:

  1. Email links to people. It’s nice (don’t you think?) to receive quality links… You can link to any page or article at RealTaiji.com and, if you include your affiliate code (it looks like ?ap_id=YourUserName ) on the end of the link, then when people find (and buy) the Course — you’ll get paid.
  2. Put a link in your email signature. This is easy. And it’s non-intrusive. Something like… Here’s the Online Taiji Course for Every Body… http://realtaiji.com/courses?ap_id=YourUserName
  3. Place links on Facebook, Twitter, and any social network that allows link sharing. Just be gentle, don’t overwhelm people.

Remember, don’t overdo it…

Spread out 3 links per day on a social network to catch the eye of people who spend different hours wandering through Facebook or Twitter. Keeping your link in your email signature is a good way to send word casually and consistently. And inviting people to read any article at RealTaiji.com is a nice way to give people the cookie that gives you credit, while offering them some good reading.

Advanced Tips for RealTaiji.com Affiliates

  • According to FTC Rules, you must disclose your financial relationship when offering affiliating links. No big-E… simply say some polite and direct:

“Check out this Taiji Course (I like it so much: this is an affiliate link).”

or

“Go visit http://RealTaiji.com/Courses?ap_id=MyUserName (aff).”

See: as long as you mention your relationship, you’re good. Also, I don’t expect any FTC problems unless 1.) we make boatloads of money and 2.) we’re shady. Neither of those are happening. The second will never happen, and the first should happen soon ;)

  • Build a Blog: build your own on WordPress.com or Blogger.com. Both are great networks because they have lots of traffic.
  • Write about the Old Yang Course 1 in a larger context, by, for example, writing an article about Old Yang Lu-Chan or Taijiquan Origins on a site like Squidoo, Hubpages, or on your friend’s blog.
  • Write for one of my websites. Contact me for details.

How to Increase Your Affiliate %

All Affiliates start at 15% and each of you, when you direct someone to purchase a RealTaiji.com product or service online, you can earn more money Money.

Here’s how:

  1. Buy a product worth >$100 and earn 5% more. Do this twice (that’s the limit) for 10% more.
  2. Sell 100 products for 5% more. Do this twice: 10% more.
  3. Manage one promotional website for 5% (while you manage it), plus, by managing it, you may get more sales! (Contact me for details.) Limit: 2.

Don’t forget: there’s a second tier to earnings… 5%. In other words, if you get someone to sign up for the RealTaiji.com Affiliate Platform, you’ll get 5% of their sales (it’s doesn’t come from them, it comes from me).

The total possible earnings by percentage? 50%.
