A bit about the World Taiji Boxing Association…

I first met Master Erle Montaigue at a workshop in Saint Cloud, Minnesota, USA. In the early 90′s, Jack and Beverly Gustafson hosted a weekend workshop at their Karate School.

After years of Karate training and some developing interest in pressure points and old-Karate origins, I was overwhelmed and thoroughly taken by this Taiji thing.

Lucky for me Master Montaigue spread the word, world-wide, about this lost art. I saw martial aspects right from the get go. I didn’t start with poor-quality, sub par Tai Chi. I got the goods.

I immediately purchased MTG 01 and MTG 05, Yang Chen Fu Form and Pushing Hands, for VCR (remember those?). I dug in. Then I found the book Power Taiji and made more sense out of the video.

Right now I’m immersed in the internal arts… in the methods and systems promoted by the Erle and Eli Montaigue through the World Taiji Boxing Association.
